Jim July 28, 2022 for Model Number Samsung SMH1622S Over the range microwave My Samsung SMH1622S Over the range microwave stopped working. there is power to outlet but unit is dead. The SMH1622S is currently installed so the top cabinet holes are already drilled and the mounting bracket installed. Instead of repairing 9 year old unit, I would like to replace it.I cannot find a direct replacement model, it is no longer sold. I found a similar item at Best Buy (Model:ME16A4021AS/AA) and it has the same dimensions. Does anyone know if the mounting bracket placement and cabinet hole placement are the same for Samsung units of similar size? In other words, can I buy the new unit and just install it using the existing bracket and holes?
1 Answer Jim, As long as it is a 30 inch above the range microwave then it will work in the space. Cannot say for sure that the mounting bracket would work but should fit the dimensions of the opening. Read More...
