Ken April 16, 2013 for Model Number Dacor Bake Element 62628 I've removed the bake element and my ohm meter reads 15 ohms. Is this acceptable?
1 Answer Hello Ken. The best way to test the element is for continuity. If it reads closed, it is good. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Bill December 14, 2011 for Model Number dacor 30" wall oven bake element AP3391836 OK I checked the bake element as it was not heating, have good continuity (un hooked wires) broil element seems slow to heat. convection works. Now what?
1 Answer Hello Bill. If the element DE81-09769A is good, you will need to check and see if there is power coming from the relay board. If not, you will need to replace the relay board. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Pamela H. October 09, 2011 for Model Number ERD30S06CH/LP F-P-03442442 How difficult is it to install the new bake element? I have done this on simple apt. type stoves but this range has been such a nightmare of complicated repairs I'm hesitant. However, I am also tired of having to pay someone to fix things. It looks like you need to attach it to wires rather than plug it in. I have done that on less complicated ovens. Did I just get a lemon or did I make a stupid choice? Thank you.
1 Answer Hi Pamela. Remove power. Remove door. Remove inner racks. Remove inner bake element mount screws. Pull out into the front and disconnect the wires. Replace the element and mount. Then pull the unit out. Remove the back. Push all insulation in surrounding the element at the inner body / wire areas. You do not want the oven heat to leak out the back and burn wires etc... Make sure all connections are tight. Element part # is DE81-09769A. Thank you. Read More...
Eileen July 03, 2011 I can't find the model number and want to make sure I am buying the right bake element. You have two bake elements with a similar shape for Dacor ovens. Can you tell me which model numbers go with which elements?
1 Answer Hello Eileen. If you provide your model number, we can look up the correct bake element for your oven. Thanks. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx Read More...
