Bruce February 28, 2021 for Model Number ECPS230 Dacor double oven To replace the temperature sensor do you need to pull out the oven?
1 Answer Bruce, In most cases, you can remove the sensor without removing the oven. When you get the sensor pulled out using a clip of some sort to hold the wire from sliding back into the hole. Read More...

Rick L December 18, 2020 for Model Number Dacor PCS 230 Dacor double ovens, PCS 230. The top oven works fine on convection and broil modes, but when using just the bottom element in bake mode, it takes perhaps 30-40 minutes to preheat to 350°F. (Bottom over works just fine). How do I tell if it is the element or the logic board? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Rick, If the unit works fine on convection bake, the bake element is operating normally. The issue will most likely be in the control DE81-08448A. I'm sorry but this part has been discontinued by the manufacturer and no satisfactory substitutions have been provided. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...
Jim April 08, 2019 for Model Number ECD230 Hi Have a double oven. All elements and functions for the lower oven work properly. The upper oven: 1. Has no heat coming from the Bake element 2. Has no heat coming from the broiler element 3. No heat from the convection element 4. Convection fan works when in Bake, BakeConv, pure conv. Any Ideas? Jim
1 Answer Jim, It is possible that the thermal fuse for the top oven is open and stopping voltage going to the elements. The upper control board number is DE81-08448A and you can test relays on this board for power in and out going to the elements. You should also have a wiring diagram behind the control panel to show what points to use for testing or at least wire colors. Read More...
Daniel April 24, 2017 for Model Number Dacor msc230s The upper oven bake element will not get red hot. Pre-heating is very slow and erratic. The broiler and convection heating elements heat up fine ( red hot). I have tested the heating element (continuity .22 ohms) and tests good. I switched out the bottom oven bake heating element with the upper oven bake heating element with same results. Both of the bake heating elements work great in lower oven, neither work in the upper oven. I have checked the high limit thermal fuse on the upper oven. What should I check next? Thanks.
1 Answer Daniel, This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty relay board which is part number DE81-08448A. Read More...
