For Whirlpool Oven Control Board (Part Number: OEM18037986)

Gbp for Model Number RBS305PDB14

We had the thermal fuse blow and replaced it. We used the oven for about 4 months. Then ran the cleaning cycle and oven wouldn’t heat again. This time the E0-F2- code was showing. We replaced the thermo fuse but wouldn’t come back on. We were told that new main board was needed but it would take a long time fore the board to come in. That was 5 months ago. The thermo part we used to replace was a satco S7945. Based on this information, do you think a new main board and thermo fuse would repair the oven? Is your stated lead time of 4 to 14 days for the main board correct? Thanks.

GBP, Yes, the main control board would be the most likely cause for this issue to occur.

Frank, There is a relay that has 2 terminals on it. The one on the top will take the red wire from the terminal block and the other red will go to the other.

The oven noted has been repeatedly shutting down with error code EO-F3. I tested the temperature sensor and resistance was 1080 ohms indicating a good sensor. All sites that I have seen (including yours) indicate that the replacement control board is WP8302994 for this model oven. But this part has a 16 pin socket to connect to the control panel cable, when the existing control panel cable is 14 pin. The Existing control board is part 8301919. Will the WP8302994 board work with the 14 pin control panel cable?

1 Answer

Sue, the sensor wires will need to be inspected for any broken spots or loose connections. The sensor can be double-checked for resistance and should measure around 1100 Ohms at room temperature. If these all check good, then the oven control WP8302994 has failed.

David, Check to make sure that the cooling fan is running when the oven is on. If the cooling fan is not running check the thermostat for it when it is at around 150 degrees for continuity. If the thermostat checks ok then check to make sure that the fan motor has voltage getting to it. If there is proper voltage then this would be a faulty fan motor. If not then the control board. If the fan is running then check wire connections where the power supply comes into the unit for good and proper connections and if this checks ok then the control board will be the issue.

Amy, We would need to have the model number to be able to assist but you could try to get a rigid wire and make a hook on the end of it and get it between the door and the cabinet of the unit. Slide it to the left to get the door lock to release.

Patricia for Model Number Whirlpool RS675PXGQ0 30" Drop-In Electric Range

Woke up last Sunday to find our oven had turned itself on. The only way to turn it off is to turn off the breaker. Tried resetting the clock and turning the oven on which resulted in a spectacular fireworks display. Called the repair person. The oven control board had a big burn through it and he tells me it is impossible to find this part ANYWHERE and we have to purchase a new range. Please tell me you have this part! Thank you! PS: The oven still comes on when the breaker switch Is turned on.

Where to start... Went to self-clean. oven locked and shut down. Tech replaced thermal fuse.... then decided board was bad. Replaced control board. OK... back in action for 24 hours..... First time range is used for baking cake. Cake seemed a little burnt on top and not done all way through. Tried to use oven later in day and everything on display says oven is preheating, fan comes on, etc. Everything looks normal on panel. No fault codes or anything odd. No heat!! None. Tried Broil. Same thing. Everything on panel looks normal... says it is heating. No Heat!!! OK. Tech back and replaced Temp sensor and thermal fuse again. Still same thing!!!! Wants to replace both heating elements. Could they both go out at same time??? HELP. What else is remaining? Could New Control Board be BAD? THANK YOU!!!!!

Allen for Model Number RS696PXGB13

Turned oven on to "Clean" cycle. Worked for about one hour (of the 4 hr cycle) then unit shut off with door locked. No response to anything except top burners on cooktop. This is a drop in Whirlpool RS696PXGB13. Pulled out and replaced Thermal Fuse on back of unit, but still will not turn on. (or at least the display shows nothing and door will not unlock) Top burners for cooktop have worked before and after thermal fuse replacement. Don't see another fuse on schematic. I'm lost!! Please help. THANK YOU!!!

Allen, With the control being out and the thermal fuse being good, this will be a faulty control board which is part number WP8302994.
