Frank July 07, 2020 for Model Number RBS307pvs Removed the control board WP8032994 and didn't mark the 2 red wires with spade connectors going to the board so unsure of correct order to reinstall. One of the red wires is coming from the terminal block on top unit. does this one go on the top or bottom of the black connector on the control board. Hoping you can help. Thanks
1 Answer Frank, There is a relay that has 2 terminals on it. The one on the top will take the red wire from the terminal block and the other red will go to the other. Read More...
Mac June 17, 2020 for Model Number RBS275PDB16 The oven noted has been repeatedly shutting down with error code EO-F3. I tested the temperature sensor and resistance was 1080 ohms indicating a good sensor. All sites that I have seen (including yours) indicate that the replacement control board is WP8302994 for this model oven. But this part has a 16 pin socket to connect to the control panel cable, when the existing control panel cable is 14 pin. The Existing control board is part 8301919. Will the WP8302994 board work with the 14 pin control panel cable?
1 Answer Mac, This oven control board WP8302994 will be the correct board for your unit. Read More...
Sue February 20, 2020 for Model Number RBS305PDB16 We keep getting an E2-F3 Locked message after replacing the temperature sensor to our oven...do you know why??
1 Answer Sue, the sensor wires will need to be inspected for any broken spots or loose connections. The sensor can be double-checked for resistance and should measure around 1100 Ohms at room temperature. If these all check good, then the oven control WP8302994 has failed. Read More...
David November 26, 2018 for Model Number rbs305pds16 Whirlpool model rbs305pds16 turns on and preheats properly but randomly shuts down and display goes compeletly blank then will come back on eventually with PF (power failure) code showing. Sometimes seems to happen if pushing oven light button or changing temperature setting. Is this a bad control board or touchpad or something else?
1 Answer David, Check to make sure that the cooling fan is running when the oven is on. If the cooling fan is not running check the thermostat for it when it is at around 150 degrees for continuity. If the thermostat checks ok then check to make sure that the fan motor has voltage getting to it. If there is proper voltage then this would be a faulty fan motor. If not then the control board. If the fan is running then check wire connections where the power supply comes into the unit for good and proper connections and if this checks ok then the control board will be the issue. Amy Barker August 25, 2017 Our oven just locked itself and is flashing a code: E1 F3 We were using it so what's in there is smoking at this point. Is there a way to open the oven. From what I've read it sounds like the oven temperature sensor needs replacing?
1 Answer Amy, We would need to have the model number to be able to assist but you could try to get a rigid wire and make a hook on the end of it and get it between the door and the cabinet of the unit. Slide it to the left to get the door lock to release. Read More...
Ron July 02, 2017 for Model Number RS696PXGB13 We were baking today and smelled burning scones. Oven had turned to self clean on its own, locking door and with much button pushing, turning off the breaker and on again and more button pushing we finally "rescued the food". With guests over we had to cook more food, but the same scenario was repeated again and again. What could the problem be?
1 Answer Ron, For this issue the most likely cause will be a faulty main control board WP8302994. Read More...
Patricia February 19, 2017 for Model Number Whirlpool RS675PXGQ0 30" Drop-In Electric Range Woke up last Sunday to find our oven had turned itself on. The only way to turn it off is to turn off the breaker. Tried resetting the clock and turning the oven on which resulted in a spectacular fireworks display. Called the repair person. The oven control board had a big burn through it and he tells me it is impossible to find this part ANYWHERE and we have to purchase a new range. Please tell me you have this part! Thank you! PS: The oven still comes on when the breaker switch Is turned on.
1 Answer Hello Patricia. Sorry, the part needed 4452240 has been permanently discontinued by the manufacturer and we don't know of any source or replacement for the part. Read More...
Allen April 12, 2016 for Model Number RS696PXGB13 Whirlpool range Where to start... Went to self-clean. oven locked and shut down. Tech replaced thermal fuse.... then decided board was bad. Replaced control board. OK... back in action for 24 hours..... First time range is used for baking cake. Cake seemed a little burnt on top and not done all way through. Tried to use oven later in day and everything on display says oven is preheating, fan comes on, etc. Everything looks normal on panel. No fault codes or anything odd. No heat!! None. Tried Broil. Same thing. Everything on panel looks normal... says it is heating. No Heat!!! OK. Tech back and replaced Temp sensor and thermal fuse again. Still same thing!!!! Wants to replace both heating elements. Could they both go out at same time??? HELP. What else is remaining? Could New Control Board be BAD? THANK YOU!!!!!
1 Answer Hello Allen. No, it is not likely. Needs to check voltage for 240 volts. If good, then the new board is likely bad or there is a wiring issue. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Allen March 28, 2016 for Model Number RS696PXGB13 Turned oven on to "Clean" cycle. Worked for about one hour (of the 4 hr cycle) then unit shut off with door locked. No response to anything except top burners on cooktop. This is a drop in Whirlpool RS696PXGB13. Pulled out and replaced Thermal Fuse on back of unit, but still will not turn on. (or at least the display shows nothing and door will not unlock) Top burners for cooktop have worked before and after thermal fuse replacement. Don't see another fuse on schematic. I'm lost!! Please help. THANK YOU!!!
1 Answer Allen, With the control being out and the thermal fuse being good, this will be a faulty control board which is part number WP8302994. Read More...
Kevin December 30, 2015 for Model Number 8302994 I purchased a oven control panel part number 8302994 as a replacement for my original part 8301465a but the ribbon connector to the control panel has a different type of connector. I was told that this is the correct part for my oven and that the part may need to be modified. Is this the correct part and if so how do I modify the connection? Also there is a part in the section of the new board labeled K1 that is not there on the original board. Is that a problem or not?
1 Answer Hello Kevin. The model number will have to be verified on the units I.D. tag since the one listed came up invalid. This will be necessary to look up and specific parts such as the one you requested. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. We will need your model number to help you with this. Please call 1-877-477-7278 or post your model number with a new question on the parts page.
