Hui August 29, 2023 for Model Number KUDJ02CRBS0 Bad overlay membrane switch AP6013453 was replaced and the washing cycle only works ONCE (Normal cycle). Then it is not working anymore. Now the Normal or Heavy Duty buttons LEDs are not ON when pressing them. Try to reset by pressing High Temp Heated Dry/High Temp Heated Dry/High Temp Heated Dry in successions and LEDs are on and goes through the quick cycle for about 1 minute (like Demo). Only Rinse LED is ON and other 2 LEDs for Normal and Heavy Duty are not ON. Also unplug AC Power cord and wait few minutes and plug it back still no action. Bottom line is not able to select the cycle (Normal or Heavy Duty). Cancel button seems NOT working either. What seems to be the issue ? Many thanks ! Hui
1 Answer Hello Hui, with a new overlay/switch membrane installed and then having this problem, recheck the ribbon connection first, if ok then the 2nd ribbon (WP8531877) from the connection board to the control board would be suspect however it is no longer available. Read More...
Hui August 20, 2023 for Model Number KUDJ02CRBS0 The membrane switch did not have any response and LEDs display when pressing any of the buttons. What might be the cause ? Measuring the signals on the adapter board or on the flex cable the following pins has the +5V power : 13,12,11 and the rest of the pins are GND level. No action (voltage level change) happens when pressing any button on the panel membrane. The question is the membrane has any active component (ICs) or just the keypad type contacts X-Y matrix only ? Thanks for the advice. Hui
1 Answer Hui,I would suggest checking the door switches. There is power to the control and it will light up with the door switches open, but it will not start with the door switches open. Read More...
Doug August 16, 2018 for Model Number KUDK02CRBS1 Touchpad is dead. Tail of ribbon cable is not connected to anything, it seems to just "sit" in the slot on the back of touchpad. Is this normal? Is there anyway to test the touchpad?
1 Answer Doug,Touchpad ribbon goes into user interface on one end and into the control on other. It can be tested using the key. When a key is pressed it should show some resistance and open when key not pressed. It does matter what lead you put on each test point and will need a multimeter to test.DELAY HOURS P1-12 P1-2SMART W/ACCUSENSE P1-13 P1-2SOAK & SCOUR P1-11 P1-3CANCEL/DRAIN P1-12 P1-3POTS & PANS/HEAVY P1-13 P1-3HIGH TEMP SCOUR/HIGH TEMP SCRUB P1-11 P1-4START P1-12 P1-4NORMAL WASH/NORMAL P1-13 P1-4SANI RINSE P1-11 P1-5TURBO/PRO SCRUB P1-12 P1-5CHINA/LIGHT P1-13 P1-5HEATED DRY P1-11 P1-6RINSE ONLY/QUICK RINSE P1-12 P1-6GLASS EXPRESS/FAST WASH/QUICK CLEANUPP1-13 P1-6 If ribbon is suspect order part # WP8531877 and console is part # is dependent upon color. Joe S. April 13, 2016 for Model Number KUDK02CRBS1 My dishwasher's keypad is totally non-functional and has no LED's that come on. I replaced the control board which at least "clicks" when powered on, but still no control. It actually started up and started washing once, but never again. The latch and bi-metal fuse are all fine and there is power to the board. What should I look at next?
1 Answer Joe, The most likely cause for this issue will be the interconnect board which is part number WP8531873. Read More...
David May 31, 2012 for Model Number KUDK02CRBS1 My dishwasher (KUDK02CRBS1) has rapidly blinking lights and unresponsive keys. If I turn it off for a while, I can usually get it to start up again but it usually doesn't finish the cycle. Could replacing this part fix it? I've already tried replacing the control board and control panel, but now I'm wondering if I have a short in this part. Thanks!
1 Answer Hello David. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control panel WP8572349 is bad and will need to be replaced. Read More...
