Hello Gabe, the microwave bulb WPW10440740 just plugs straight in. You should be able to remove the lens W11193483 and pull the bulb straight out. If the lens won't come out, you will have to get into the top of the microwave from the outside. Hope this helps!

Hi. Remove the microwave. Remove the cabinet cover back screws and you will need a T-20 security type screwdriver tip on one back screw to get the rest off (use the same tool for the rest). Pick one up @ the local hardware store. Then the bulb part # WP4173175 is accessed from the top inside the cabinet. Thank You.

Hi Joan. The surrounding trim needs to be removed. Look at the bottom below the door and remove this cross piece trim first. Open the door and remove. Remove power. Remove the door. This will give better access to the bottom trim screws. This removed will give access to the side trim screws. Side screws removed will give access to sliding the entire microwave out and then the microwave top cover. The lamp base socket is in the top. You will twist and lift the socket to access the lamp. Do not use your fingers on the new bulb because of the residue of your finger tips will react with the Quartz type bulb and once lite, it will react and negatively affect the life span of the bulb. Bulb part # WPW10440740.Thank You.

Bill for Model Number GSC308PJS05

I am referring to the microwave oven light, which is burned out, not the lower conventional oven light. The lower oven has a clearly accessible lens cover, as you say. But the microwave light in the ceiling of the microwave is described as "inaccessible" in the parts diagram in the user manual (page 5). I can see it. It protrudes from the ceiling about a half inch or so. There does not appear to be much clearance for removal of a lens. But I cannot tell if there is a separate lens and a bulb, and if I put any more pressure on whatever it is I am trying to twist, I am afraid it will break. Does this mean this product requires a service call from you just to change a light bulb?

Hello Bill. You need to remove the outer cover of the microwave to access and replace the bulb you are referring to. Hope this helps.
