Hello Charles. The water filter EDR3RXD1 is located in the toe panel of the unit.

Hello Cherry. You will need to press the water filter EDR3RXD1 back into the housing and then press the button again and push it all the way down. It should release the filter. If not, you will need to replace the filter housing WPW10121138 and the filter. Hope this helps.
