Questions & Answers

For Whirlpool Dryer Door Catch (Part Number: OEM18045300)

Tricia, Sorry but, no, the complete door is not available. and No, there's no way to replace the catch, without dismantling the door. It's a lot simpler and easier than it looks. Basically, Remove the four screws holding the door hinges to the door panel (remove the lower screws, remove the upper screw from the lower hinge, hold the door panel as solid as possible and loosen, then remove the upper screw from the upper hinge). lay the door panel on a towel on top of the table and remove the screws from the door panel perimeter screws on the bottom of the door. You should be able to separate the dor liner from the door outer panel and using a pair of needle nose pliers, you should be able to compress the spring clips and push the catch out of the liner, without any damage. reverse the procedure and you're done, it usually takes about 10 - 15 minutes to do the repair. Good Luck and Thanks
