Jim D. August 24, 2011 for Model Number CHE9800BCE How do you disassemble the oven/control board, to install a new 12001607?
1 Answer Hello Jim. Disconnect the power. Lift the main top by releasing the two clips under the front corners. Support the cook top. Remove the screws securing the manifold to the chassis. Pull out panel and access the clock 12001607. Reinstall in reverse order. Hope this helps. Read More...
Rod August 10, 2011 for Model Number 5898VVV My clock display intermittently goes blank. Everything else still works. If I press on the display it sometimes comes back on (see Aaron question above), or it may eventually come back on by itself. Sounds like a bad or dirty contact. What do you suggest?
1 Answer Hello Rod. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the clock assembly 12001607 is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More...
John July 26, 2011 for Model Number CHE9800BCE Maytag The small plastic "pusher" behind the up arrow behind the white faceplate on the Robertshaw oven control board broke off and fell into the control panel. All other plastic pushers and the control board work well. Any ideas as to how I could replace the plastic piece with a modification that would allow the "up" arrow to be depressed and operate smoothly? (Without buying an entirely new control panel.)
1 Answer John, Sorry , at this point, it will require a new control assembly 12001607. Those "pushers" are set and sealed into the control assembly and sold as a one piece unit. Thanks and Good Luck. Read More...
Aaron June 23, 2011 for Model Number 5892vvv We spoke early in regards to ap4009447. Do you know which of the three connectors, either the 5, 6 or 8 pin is responsible for powering the display? I don't have the tools to test the connectors (on the wire coming from my stove) and would rather not have to replace all three if I do not have to. Thanks - Aaron
1 Answer Hello Aaron. It sounds like the relay board WP74001870 may be the problem, but you will need to test to make sure. Also make sure there is 240 volts coming to the oven. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Aaron June 23, 2011 for Model Number 5892vvv I purchased part #ap4009447 ( timer/clock/oven controls ) for my magic chef oven. It has three pin connectors on the back. Which pin connector is responsible for the display ? My old ap4009447 required you to push on the front of it to see the display which led to f7 failure. The new ap4009447 is doing the same thing leading me to believe one of the connectors is not quite right. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Aaron. The three connectors are different numbers. One is a 5 pin, one is a 6, and one is a 8 pin. You will need to count the number of pins on the connectors and match it up with your wires. Hope this helps. Read More...

Laura March 27, 2011 for Model Number 629.4576569 The digital display went out on my Kenmore oven - (it seems the entire control panel - clock display and push keys do not work) - This makes the oven be unable to turn on. This appears to be my exact display - will replacing this fix the problem or is it in some other control panel that needs to be replaced? The burners on the stove top still function perfectly. Thanks -
1 Answer Hello Laura. You will need to test and see if your getting power to the clock assembly. If so, this is the correct part for the display. Hope this helps. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Jay. You will need to remove the screws holding the front panel in place, to access the clock. Some of these are located on the bottom of the panel. Hope this helps. Read More...
