Questions & Answers

For Whirlpool Clock (Oven Control Board) (Part Number: OEM18032154)

Hello Doug, First, kill the power at the breaker box to prevent electrocution and/or death. Turn the inside light on first so you can tell if you got the correct breaker. There should be 3 or 4 screws across the bottom of the control panel visible only by opening the door and looking up at the bottom of the control panel. When these screws are removed, the panel should slide straight up and off. If it doesn't, you may have to remove the side trims by removing the screws at the inside bottom of the4 trims and slide them straight down and off. Then remove the screws securing the unit to the cabinet. This will allow you to slide the entire unit out an inch or less to allow you to lift the control panel up and off. Be careful not to damage the harness that is attached to it. You will need to remove this harness and lay the panel on a towel on a counter top to remove the clock assembly. Be careful with the harness to it also. Dis-connect it and remove the screws securing the clock to the control panel. Re-assemble in the reverse order. If your lucky, the control panel will just lift off without having to slide the unit out any. If this is the case, you should be able to complete the repair in half an hours time. Otherwise, it will take 45 minutes to an hour. -JJW9630BAB -
