Dawni July 24, 2023 for Model Number MER8700DS1 I have a Maytag Aqualift oven model MER8700DS1 purchased in 2016. I recently tried to use the Delay Start feature for the first time. After doing so, the oven did not come on as expected and now I cannot even get the oven to run normally by selecting bake, temp and start the normal way. Neither the bake or the broiler elements come on, however, the convection fan does work. I replaced the bake element about 2 months ago and it's been working fine up until now, so I highly doubt there is an issue with it, let alone both the bake and broil elements. From everything I have read, it seems like the control board may be the issue though there are no visual defects to it. I was hoping you could confirm I'm on the right track or suggest other troubleshooting options before I purchase the board. Your thoughts and advice would be appreciated! Thank you!
1 Answer Hello Dawn, if the top burners are working then it is not a supply voltage (240vac) problem, then it is likely a control board problem, the board part WPW10655845. Read More...
Dale September 24, 2020 for Model Number W1065584 Maytag range, used. Installed it, cleaned it, tested it, everything working fine. Ran it through self clean cycle, everything still working fine. The next day, burners still functioning fine, but the was display (clock) not on, touch control pad not working, and the convection fan was running constant. Do I need to replace the control board, or is something else wrong?
1 Answer Dale, if there is 120VAC reaching the control, it would certainly be very likely that it has failed. However, if the model number of your appliance could be provided in a new question, this will allow for the most accurate information to be presented. Read More...
