White water, We'd expect to see a range of one (1) to five(5) ohms resistance between the common and the run winding terminals and three(3) to eleven (11) ohms resistance across the common and start winding terminals on the compressor. Don't forget to check each termianl pin to the compressor casing, there should be no resistance or they should all be "open" circuits.

Hi Moises. The compressors are rated by the British Thermal Standard unit, BTU's. Even with the pictorial view blown up it is hard to tell the rating on the nameplate. If you send us the model # then we can look further in the service manual to get the rating. All compressors are sized according to the actual size of the cabinet -vs- the sealed system tubing size. They are all engineered for a specific size. So it is highly recommended to stick with the compressor kit for your unit alone.Compressor kit part # W10309990. Thank You.

Hi Joe. The compressor is no longer rated in hp. For the past 10- yrs mainly it is rated by the total capacity of your sealed -system perticurlary to your exact unit size . There is a B.T.U. rating that can be slightly exceeded but the compressor you have should be sufficient. What symtoms are you having? But the conversion from btu's to the wattage/voltage will be in the 1/4 hp rating . Thank you.
