Beeper for Model Number 596.70003002

From a question I posted in the forum section, the first indication is that I need either a new compressor or a new start relay. Both show Out of Stock. Is that a permanent condition? Or might they become available soon? Also, just confirming direction from the forum, I hear a faint buzz like something is trying to start. I unplugged the fridge and felt the compressor and it was hot. Later I plugged the unit back in and the condenser fan is spinning, and now the compressor is no longer hot since the fan is blowing cool air on it. Does this confirm that the compressor (or start relay) is the likely culprit? Thank you!

Beeper, The start device is normally the cause for this issue. If the compressor was made by Tecumseh, then it would most likely be the compressor that is faulty if it is trying to start but will not.

Louis, unfortunately, this information is not listed on the compressor nor by the manufacturer. However, the manufacturer does indeed recommend the compressor W10309990 for your model.

Allan, Yes, it could be either of those and possibly the condenser fan as well. Or it might just be a loose evaporator cover. You will definitely want to pinpoint the part or issue so no parts are replaced that wasn't needed.
