John July 11, 2012 Hello, I have a Maytag refrigerator (model MSD2732GR) that the compressor has gone out on. I also have a Whirlpool (model ED22GWXFW01) that runs just fine. Would the Whirlpool compressor work in the Maytag? Thank you!
1 Answer Hello John. Based on the two model numbers you provided, it does not show the compressors as being cross overs to use on the unit. For the Maytag, you will need to use W10309995 or W10309994 depending on the serial number. Read More...
John July 06, 2012 Hello, I currently have a Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerator. My brother gave me his newer Maytag stainless steel side-by-side, but the compressor has went out on it. I had the relay checked hoping that was the problem, but it's the compressor. Would the Whirlpool compressor be compatible with the Maytag? Thanks!
1 Answer Hello John. Yes, whirlpool is the owner of Maytag and manufactures all their parts. W10309995 is the correct compressor. Read More...
Brenda March 22, 2012 for Model Number KSSS48QHX00 I ordered a replacement compressor for my refrigerator and it came with 2 high sides and 2 low sides and a valve ... and our existing compressor has 1 low side and 1 high side and a valve, my question that I have is how can it be properly installed w/o directions?
1 Answer Hi Brenda. This compressor is also used in similar models that use a Copper loop coil that resides in a black 4" tall x 6" round defrost pan. It is no longer in use. So the compressor is plugged and marked with a large red tag through the lowest 2-ports used for this issue. Your model uses this compressor but does not need to touch these ports. The port on the left (single) is for the process tub adapter unless sent with instructions stating otherwise. The mid placed rt. port is the discharge side port. The one close to it on the rt. but at the highest point is the suction port. Use all parts in the kit as the compressor is designed for them. Thank You. Read More...
David December 27, 2011 for Model Number JDC2389GE After troubleshooting my Jenn-Air side-by-side refer it appears that my compressor needs to be replaced. I replaced the compressor relay with no change. How can I know exactly which compressor to order of the two listed here for my refrigerator? AP4357103 or AP3108575? My unit has an Embraco EGY100HLP (original part).
1 Answer Hello David. We will need your serial number to find the correct compressor W10309995 for the unit. Hope this helps. Read More...

Joel R. August 05, 2011 for Model Number Compressor for ksss48qdx05 Can you please let me know what the horsepower of the compressor 438779 is ? The rest of your answer was quite clear thanks for all your help so far I will pass it all on the my technician and he will let me know what I have to order.
1 Answer Hi Joel. Unless you contact the compressor manufacture and find different, it should be 1/4 Hp. They have'nt given this rating in a number of years, all depending on B.T.U. ratings now. The pictures we have @ your model has been taken from the top of the compressor, so I was not able to convert the 240vac and B.T.U. ratings into H.P. EMBRACO Compressors are (for the most part) 1/4 hp. Your specific origional compressor should have a B.T.U. rating , can you tell me what that is? Thank you. Read More...
Joel R. August 04, 2011 for Model Number Ksss48qdx05 Need to know the tech specs for the replacement of compressor as a local repairman ( in Aruba) put one in and since then the whole unit does not cool and freeze as before I am wondering if what he used may not have been powerful enough for this unit Please help I do not want to order a replacement compressor 438779 all the way from the USA if that is not necessary Thanks in advance
1 Answer Hi Joel. The inverter should put out on the RED/WHITE & RED Wires, 3-6 vdc. On the Blk. & White Wires 120 vac. AT the main control board P7-3 (RED) & P7-8 (RED/WHITE), 3-6 vdc. Double check the compressor 3-pins connectors. Any two pins should read approx. 9-10 ohms. Check the pins to make sure they are not grounded to the frame. If The Btu Ratings are the sames or slightly larger then it should be ok. The compressor is part # W10309995. Did he change the filter drier as you are factory advised part # is WPW10143759. The condenser fan motor needs to be working up to proper speed, this part # is WP2169135. Hope this helps. Thank you. Read More...
