Gary September 07, 2016 for Model Number KUDI01ILWH2 After a period of being finicky (e.g., sometimes requiring multiple pushes to start) my dishwasher now fails to start at all. I think the issue is the touchpad as 1) when it starts it works fine and 2) one of the other buttons doesn't work (and I got it to work after detaching and reattaching the ribbon cable. My question is whether their is a way to test that this is the problem (and not something with the control board) before ordering the part.
1 Answer Hello Gary. It sounds like you already did the test. If the panel didn't work, but did after you reseated it, then it is bad and will need to be replaced. Read More...
Mike December 29, 2013 for Model Number KUDI01ILBT2 I just ordered a control panel for a Kitchen-aid dishwasher (#KUDI01ILBT2). The model number references the color Bisque. However, the replacement which is a universal part #8531240 by Whirlpool, does not reflect that in their description. I would like a confirmation that this will be correct. Order # 3956117
1 Answer Hello Mike, The part you were looking at is actually white. The Bisque version is WP8531241. Read More...
Carley October 27, 2013 for Model Number rss358ul caloric gas kitchen stove The stove igniters started to click on all the burners by them self and I had to pull the electrical plug out. When I put electrical back on they seemed to be ok, but I am afraid to leave the electrical on when I am not at home thinking that it might start to all turn on by them self and start a fire.
1 Answer Hello Carley, You have had a spill into one of the start switches WPY0300521 at the valves. One of these are passing power to the spark module without being activated. There is no way for this to start a fire but I would also leave the power off to the unit until properly repaired. Read More...
