Melissa, The components on the control that can cause a bake element to not heat is the relays. Depending on the manufacturer you could have a bake relay and a double line bake relay that could be stuck closed. Also, the unit needs to have 240 vac present and 240 vac to the element.

Mark, The only way that the LOC comes up on the display is when the oven control is locked out. You will want to check the following. The Oven Lockout prevents unintended use of the control panel command keypads. The oven can only be locked out when the oven is not in use or the oven control has not been set. The oven will remain locked out after a power failure if it was locked before the power failure. To Lock/Unlock Oven: Press and hold OVEN for 5 seconds. A single tone will sound and "Loc on" will appear on the display. After 5 seconds, "Loc on" will disappear from the display, and "Loc" and a picture of a lock will appear. Three tones will sound when the oven is locked and any command pad other than CLOCK, TIMER, START/ENTER, OFF/ CANCEL or OVEN has been pressed. To unlock oven, press and hold OVEN for 5 seconds. "Loc OFF" will appear on the display and a picture of a lock will disappear from the display.

Richard for Model Number 66592002102

Trouble with display showing E1 F2 error code. The oven and everything else commanded by the control board will not work . I can hit the stop button and all functions will return to normal but only for a couple of minutes. Then, the error code would come on again, disabling the oven section, clock and timer. Note that the cooktop will work fine since it is independent from the control board and membrane switch. I figured I needed a new membrane switch, based from info found online and from the instructions that came with the range. So I received the new membrane, installed it and the error code was gone but the membrane switch would not send any command at all. I mean that none of the keys would actually work. So I asked for a replacement membrane switch to rule out the possibility of a faulty new membrane switch. The second membrane switch came but it did the same as the first one received. Any clue on what is happening here will be appreciated. Thanks

Hello Richard. You will need to order part number WP8272997 to repair the unit. 1. Verify failure if not displayed, using CANCEL/OFF key. Press key for 5 seconds until last error code is displayed. 2. Disconnect power longer than 30 seconds. 3. Unlock keytail connector. Inspect connector locking tabs and keytail end for damage. Ensure locking tabs are not bent or broken and keytail is not creased or torn. 4. Reinsert keytail into connector. Ensure keytail is fully seated before locking down the connector. Once locked, tug keytail slightly to ensure lock. 5. Re-apply power and observe for longer than 1 minute. 6. If any false key presses occur or the failure remains, disconnect power, and replace keypad. 7. Repeat steps 3-6. If failure repeats, disconnect power and replace control.

Hello Stacy, PF stands for power failure. This will come up when the power to the unit has been off. This can come up from a poor electrical connection to the unit. The F3 E2 code is for an over temperature condition when not in self clean. The things the manual advises to check are: 1. Measure sensor value between 1000@ 32 F and 2697 @ 900 F (approximately 1080 @ room temperature). If measurement does not match real temperature, disconnect power, replace sensor and refer to steps 3-5. Also measure from sensor connector to sensor casing for possible short. 2. Trace wires and connectors to sensor, from control, then from sensor back to control. If all connections made and no wire damage, refer to steps 3-5. 3. Disconnect power for longer than 30 seconds. 4. Reapply power and observe for longer than 1 minute. 5. If failure remains, disconnect power, replace control, then go back to step 4. To be honest, this sounds more like a bad breaker in the breaker box or a bad connection in the wall outlet or at the terminal block.
