George July 09, 2015 for Model Number MEW6530DDS Hi- My Maytag wall oven MEW6530DDS has started turning itself on after being turned off. I ordered AP4100698, the replacement control board. Still does it. I also tried cleaning the contacts of the ribbons from the control panel without success. Should I try replacing the touchpad/control panel (AP4416920) itself?
1 Answer Hello George. It sounds like the control panel 5765M434-60 will need to be replaced if the buttons are bad. Read More...
Willie July 24, 2012 for Model Number MEW6530DDS I have replaced the control element and have repalced my broil element twice and my broiler still does now work, everything else on my in wall oven works. What do I need to do to next? Do I need to repalce the wiring for the broil element? If so, how do I do this? Thank you
1 Answer Hello Willie. The high limit switch 74008265 located in the top of the oven can be bad. Both connections should read closed for continuity. If the broil is open, it will prevent the element from working. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Jim W. November 09, 2011 for Model Number MEW 653 ODDB I just bought the control panel (part AP 4397038), but found that it didn't include the number touch pad, which is the malfunctioning component. I believe that is part of this assembly (AP4100698). Can you confirm that? What about the rest of the control buttons?
1 Answer Hello Jim! The control panel 5765M479-60 should include the touch pad along with the ribbon cable that attaches to the electronic board 74008995 located behind the control panel. Thanks. Read More...
