Rocky August 08, 2012 for Model Number dwc7302aab I just bought a Maytag dishwasher from a used appliance store and I have no idea how the plastic end of this hook up hose connects to the water and drain lines. Does this hose have an adapter to hook it up to the water and drain lines? I see it has a quick release type of connector at one end but I don't think it just hooks up to a standard 3/8 water valve.
1 Answer Hello Rocky, The part you are looking at is the quick connect for a portable dishwasher. It cannot be used under the counter as the drain water shoots out of the bottom of it upon drain. It requires a special adaptor on the kitchen sink faucet to hook it up. If you're hooking this unit up as a built in unit, you will have to remove this hose assembly from the water inlet valve and the drain connection at the pump. You will need to order a drain line WP3374077 and a water supply line TJ10SS48DW. You will either have to install a receptacle to plug in the power supply or you can remove the existing power supply line and hard wire the unit. Read More...

Bernie June 16, 2012 for Model Number dwc7302aab i think i need the hose assembly but i want to make sure it comes with the male nipple that screws into the fauctet adapter kit. if you lood at the faucet adapter kit and the hose assembly kit they will not not connect to each other unless the nipple or quick disconnect nipple is between them. so i want to make sure it either comes with hose assembly kit or faucet adapter kit or can i buy it seperately-thank you
