Chuck B May 31, 2011 for Model Number Whirlpool Microwave MH6700XW0 Unit just made loud pop (electrical arc) when turned on followed by burning odor. Unit does not cook, but fan, clock, etc. are working. The H.V. diode is clearly burned out. In this situation, does replacing the diode usually correct the problem? Or, is it likely there is also a problem with the capacitor?
