Richard February 22, 2013 for Model Number WU204 I know from the way the door behaves (no spring action anymore), that the door spring must be replaced. The diagram seems to show two door spring parts: Y901862 and 901111. Question: Do I need both springs to be safe? Also; Are there any further connector parts that the springs attach to that I should anticipate replacing? Is there a spring on each side of the door, or only one?

1 Answer Hello John. You will need to uninstall the dishwasher and pull it out about 8 to 10 inches to access the frame to hook the spring to. You will attach the spring to the door hinge and the frame. Hope this helps. Read More...

1 Answer Hi Rostie. Whrilpool owns Maytag now so all of the parts will carry the Whirlpool name. You will need to order part number 901111 and if you have a custom door panel installed you will also need Y901862.
