This drainage hose connects to washer by pushing it into the back of the washer and is secured by a retainer clip. Rebecca June 11, 2012 for Model Number 285863 The information above is incorrect. I too ordered and received this part. It is NOT a replacement hose. It is NO LONGER than the old hose. It is intended to EXTEND the hose and the only way to do that is too connect it to the old one. And that is not easily done. I too am looking for help on how this part actually connects.
