Wayne November 27, 2011 for Model Number ART6510WW Our oven is not cooking evenly. We replaced the bottom element two years ago. It still works well and gets very red. The top element gets warm but does not get red when on. Do you think my problem is the top element? Can it get warm but not hot thus causing my problem? If so is this the correct element for my oven?
1 Answer Hello Wayne. Test the broil element WPY0061732. It should read closed for continuity. If it test open, it is bad. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
