Phyllis July 11, 2018 Do you have to have the part DWG # 2304353 on the ice maker for it to make ice? Our ice maker doesn't drop ice into the door chute anymore and the piece above fell off when our cleaning lady was cleaning the refrigerator. I just want to make sure it can still make ice and drop it into the holding bin.
1 Answer Phyllis, you do not have to have the extension on the bale arm for it to make ice, it just keeps the ice from building up and overflowing the ice bucket. Read More...
Mark May 11, 2014 Part number 2304353 - side by side refridgerator ice maker. I have the new part. I need advice to remove the old one and install the new one without cracking/breaking the plastic piece the metal bar/arm attached to. It looks easy but the metal piece is notched and does not slide out. mark
1 Answer Mark, This extension has 2 hook looking pieces to it on one side. You would just hook that over the bail arm and it will clip into place. Read More...
Cathy January 05, 2013 for Model Number MSD2273VEB00 As we were removing our ice cube container to dump out the old ice(we just replaced our waterfilter), the extension part #2304353 partially broke. We don't know where to attACH IT. iF IT WON'T STAY, WE WILL ORDER ANOTHER ONE FROM YOU, THOUGH YOU ARE OUT OF THIS PART RIGHT NOW. tHANKS! Also, no new ice is being made. Did we put the ice cube holder back in incorrrectly?
1 Answer Cathy, The extension attaches to the "Bail Arm" W11342242 of the ice maker. If you damaged the extension and or the arm, chances are you damaged the shut off mechanism inside the ice maker control module 8201515 and the ice maker won't make ice because it's damaged as well. The ice bucket doesn't have much to do with the production of ice cubes. Read More...
