Hello Fitz, There are only two things that cause lint. Too much detergent and washing too long. Too much detergent will cause the detergents' chemical reaction to actually attack the clothes. If you think of it as being lazy, the easiest thing for it to attack is soil particles. If there isn't enough soil particles to occupy the amount of detergent you add, the excessive amount of chemical reaction will attack the material. Lint is worn off material. Washing too long and too much detergent wears out the material.
