Causes of a bad icemaker can include issues with the refrigeration system like improper temperatures, clogging or damage preventing water flow, or component malfunctions within the icemaker itself.

Symptoms of a faulty icemaker are:

  • Failure to produce ice cubes
  • Sparse or chunky/oddly shaped ice output
  • Leaks or water pools in the freezer
  • Strange noises or smells coming from the icemaker area
  • Error codes displayed regarding icemaker performance

This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore refrigerator models.
