Wayne July 14, 2017 for Model Number 110-13202200 I'm having trouble locating a new pull knob Manf. Part # 3948416 for my older Kenmore (Whirlpool) washing machine. I also need the ring(s) behind the knob. My knob appears to have dry rotted and is still attached but I have no idea where I'm setting it when I try to use it. I also would like to know how do I take the old knob off. I read in some of the other posted questions that it screws on/off. Is this reverse threads if that is the case. Any assistance will be very helpful, Thank You! Oh I checked Parts Direct, & sears and both places say this part is no longer available!!!
1 Answer Wayne, Unfortunately the knob WP3948416 has been discontinued by the manufacturer with no suitable replacement available. Read More...
Tom November 12, 2015 for Model Number 11022942101 Just purchased a new dial and knob for the washer. After removing the knob and replacing the dial, then screwing on the knob again, the dial will not turn when the dial is fully seated? As long as the dial is only seated half-way will the dial turn and the washer work. It seems like the knob doesn't screw down far enough onto the dial shaft. Washer works but dial is set way out from the back?
1 Answer Hello Tom. Make sure the timer is installed properly. Also, make sure the dial is positioned properly. If so, the knob should work properly. Read More...
Ellen November 08, 2015 for Model Number 110.26801692 washing machine sears kenmore Hi, the washing machine timer knob will not pull out to start the wash cycle. It does spin, and hits the "clicks" for each section of the cycle, just wont pull out. It looks like I may need a new knob and possibly a clip that holds it in place? I am not sure. Or is this a dead timer issue...? (I'm an appliance rookie but an old house owner so not afraid to try to tackle it) Ellen
1 Answer Hello Ellen. It sounds like the timer WP3950200 is bad and will need to be replaced. Read More...
Mike August 11, 2015 for Model Number 110.22722101 When the wash cycle is complete and the timer stops at the off position the timer knob will spin freely when pulled out. It doesn't affect the wash cycles but it didn't do this until recently. Has something failed on the back side of the knob?
1 Answer Hello Mike. It is normal for the knob to spin freely when pulled out. It should change the timer when pushed in. Read More...
