For Whirlpool Cooktop Burner Control Knob (Part Number: OEM18032076)

Frank B. for Model Number Jenn-Air Convertible Grill Range 3300 series

I need to replace the knob on the range with MFG Number 71002187. My question is there is a little clip spring where all 4 knobs are installed on. My clip spring (I think this is the right term)...on this particular knob, on the range, broke off which is why the knob does not go on. Does that clip spring come with the knob or is that separate part? My knob is ok, so maybe I only need the clip spring. Suggestions?

Hi Ken, Often when we here of an issue like this, it is due to a piece of the old knob that is still on the shaft of the switch. Many times the old knob is broken and a clip or spring is stuck on the shaft of the switch and when you try to put the new knob on it will not fit. Take a good look at your old knob and the switch shaft and compare to the new knob. If this is not the case, get back with us and we can examine further. Hope this helps!

Hello Darrell. Make sure the knob WP71002187 is pressed all the way down and the clip spring is not stuck on the switch shaft from the old knob. These should fit the unit properly. Hope this helps.
