John November 25, 2019 for Model Number can't ascertain Jennair electric cooktop - existing knob part number is KIP 5915 - the existing knob has a socket for double flat control stud, but the rounded ends of the socket allign with 3 and 9 (across the direction of the flat control handle). Is the WP 71002187 knob consistent with this? I cannot tell from the diagram. Thank youi

John S December 05, 2017 for Model Number CVE4270B I would have to concur with others who have said that the WP71002187 knob doesn’t seem to properly fit the CVE4270B cooktop. They sit about 3/8” off the cooktop where the original knobs sit a little over 1/8. They are larger in diameter, and even with the clip removed from the knob shaft won’t press down to the same depth the knobs that came with the unit sat at. The only time these knobs get as flush to the surface as the originals is when you push them down to turn a burner on. Unless there’s some trick I’m missing, having removed everything from the knob shaft before pressing these knobs on, but in my experience they won’t sit as low as and IMO don’t look as nice as the original.
1 Answer John, This burner knob WP71002187 would be the correct knob for your unit as it is the manufacturers direct replacement parts. They may have redesigned it but will still work for your unit. Read More...

1 Answer Hello Dais. Your model number calls for WP71002187 for the correct knobs. Make sure the old clips is not stuck on the shaft causing the knob to sit up to high. Read More...
Jen M January 28, 2016 for Model Number RC8700EDB-2 We had a short in our electric cooktop. One of the coil elements burned through a pan and there was some kind of surge or electrical short so the knob no longer controls that burner. An electrician is ordering the new heating (coil) element and the part to make the knob work again. It seems like a really high price to fix it. What parts are necessary if one of the control knobs shorted out? (all the others continue to work fine)
1 Answer Jen, The part number for the switch that is needed for the control of the element would be the infinite switch W11120791. Read More...
