Robert A June 24, 2026 for Model Number WED6600VW0 My dryer filter screen P/N WP8572270 has stainless steel strips down the sides of the screen like your picture has. I’ve ordered and sent back too many that have had pictures of stainless strips on theirs but when arrived they don’t so I have to send back. Ice tried the ones without the stainless strips and they seem to bypass to much lint out the duct. Can you look at your stock and check if yours have the stainless strips down the filter. I would like to order that one or if you know of another seal internal on my dryer that might need replacement that would cause this issue. Thanks
1 Answer Judging by the images and information available from the manufacturer there has been a change to the ones without the metal strips. Tawm January 28, 2016 I'm ordering a replacement lint screen for my Whirlpool cabrio from you. The reason I'm replacing it is because all four tabs that hold the handle to the screen broke off and I assume they fell down into the bottom of wherever the screen goes. Do I need to get those out and if so, how? I'm worried they might melt or cause fire. Any suggestions?
