Jeff B December 01, 2012 for Model Number rbd245pdq12 I recently replaced the control panel on my oven. Shortly afterwards, for reasons unknown, when the oven was turned on, it started heating and didn't stop. At a certain temperature the door locked and to avoid any further damage, I killed the power. I then had to replace the thermal overload. After that I have no power to control panel. I have checked the thermal fuse and the limit and micro switches on the lock. I did get the lock cam to reset to open the oven door but still have no power to the control panel. What would my next step be? I can send the board off to be checked, but just wondering if that is what I should do next. I do have 220 volts to the unit.
1 Answer Hello Jeff, What you want to do is check to make sure that you are getting power to the control board 8302967. You can check this from P24 pin 3 to P24 pin 1. You should have 120 vac at this point. If you do not have power then you check your thermal fuse WP4451354 for continuity. If you do have power at this point then you need to check from P16 pin 5 to P16 pin 7. This should also be 120 vac. This is the output to your transformer WP9760587. If there is not power then you have a bad control board. If there is power then you would want to check P16 pin 2 to P16 pin 3. You should have 12 vdc at this point. If you do not have 12 vdc then you have a bad transformer. If you do have 12 vdc then you have a bad control board. Read More...
