1 Answer Hello Connie. To replace the turntable motor 61005904, you will unplug the unit and lay the unit on it's back. Then remove the 3 screws securing the bottom plate to the oven cavity. Susan June 16, 2011 for Model Number CMV1100AAW I have a Maytag over-the-range microwave oven which is presently installed. I think it needs a new turntable motor gear. How do I gain access to the turntable motor? Do I have to remove the entire microwave oven from the wall?
1 Answer Hello Susan! Here are the instructions for the turntable motor WP58001047 from the manufacturer, thanks! 1. Turn over the oven on its back. 2. Remove 2 screws securing bottom plate to oven cavity. 3. Disconnect wires from lamp and turntable motor. Once the wires are removed you should be able to pull the motor out and install the new one.
