Margarett April 26, 2020 for Model Number WRB322DMBW00 A bottle of milk leaked in my bottom freezer refrigerator and a little over a day later, I started to smell a smokey smell. I didn't think any had gone thru the vent that connects the frig and freezer, but I am afraid that some may have found its way into the drip pan. Do you think that this will evaporate after a while? Accessing the drip pan looks a little daunting to me.
1 Answer Margarett, With the unit defrosting and water going into the drain pan it should mix with the milk if any got through and evaporate. Read More...
Joking August 14, 2019 for Model Number MBF2258XEB4 How do I replace the drip pan in my MBF2258XEB4 refrigerator? Confirmed it leaking after replacing the drain tube with an upgraded unit.
1 Answer Joking, to change the drip pan, the doors will need to be taped shut securely because the refrigerator will need to be tilted forward (it would be recommended to have an assistant with this) where the back is at least 4" up. With the back lifted up, there are Torx head screws at the base where the bottom connects to the frame along where the compartment cover sets that will need to be removed. Once these are removed, there are some Torx screws under the pan that will need to be loosened and carefully lower the base pan (careful to not kink any of the sealed system lines), and then remove the hex head screws holding the condenser fan mount to the base pan. The condenser fan mount will need to be removed, allowing the drip pan to be removed and changed out. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Mike. To remove the drip pan, unplug the refrigerator or disconnect the power. Remove the rear cover from the back of the unit. Tilt the condenser fan side of the cabinet. Remove the 2 Torx screws securing the base pan to the cabinet and drop down the base pan. Lift the condenser line out of the evaporation drain pan bracket. Release the 2 evaporation pan tabs inserted into the cabinet. Lift the pan out and remove. The fan motor shroud will twist counter clockwise to remove. Read More...

Larry Dietman September 01, 2017 for Model Number GB2FHDXWS09 We have a mosquito problem in the house. I have sprayed and cleaned. I believe there maybe stagnant water in the drip pan allowing mosquito to breed could the fan not be working with the fridge working great?
2 Answers Larry, Normally the refrigerator will have issues with the cooling if the condenser fan is not working. You will want to pull the unit out to see if there is a bad fan on the unit. Read More...

2 Answers Larry, If the condenser fan was inoperable, you'd notice the temperature inside the compartments start to slowly rise. The frame around the compartment openings, where the door gasket seal against the cabinet, would also become very warm to hot to the touch. Check and make sure the rear compartment cover is properly installed and attached to the back cabinet, and the front kick plate isn't blocked by carpeting or floor mats, clogged with debris or animal hair, etc. Check the defrost pan, there may be a couple of tablespoons of water but the fan and air movement should evaporate the water in a day or so. You can also add a tablespoon or so of chlorine bleach to the pan, it may help ? Read More...

Shaser December 29, 2015 for Model Number MBF2258WES3 How do you replace the drip pan in model MBF2258WES3? How do you get the fan shroud out?
1 Answer Hello Shaser. The W10655367 drip pan is located and accessed through the back of the refrigerator. You'll need to remove power to the refrigerator, move the refrigerator away from the wall, remove the lower compartment cover and look for cracks in the pan. But you are right, drip pans don't usually crack or leak on this type refrigerator. It's more likely to have a clogged defrost drain pan inside the freezer compartment, when the defrost occurs, instead of the water draining to the pan, it flows out the bottom of the evaporator cover(back wall of the freezer) and out the front of the freezer and onto the floor. Susan O November 09, 2015 for Model Number KBFS22EWMS5 Water runs out from under this refrigerator, I assume when it defrosts. Reading the postings I also assume it ,the pan, is cracked!
