David May 03, 2015 for Model Number MDC4650AWW2 The handle of my latch assembly is broken. When I removed the inner door panel, I saw that the plastic clips that the assembly clips into are broken as well. Do I need to buy a new control panel (thus replacing the clips as well) to install a new latch assembly, or will the screws that hold the inner and outer door panels together be sufficient to secure the latch assembly?
1 Answer Brad, the manufacturer discontinued the white control panel. The only color available is black, part number 6-920396. Thanks! Read More...
Bonnie August 28, 2011 for Model Number mdc4650awb1 All of the controls on the dishwasher work they just don't light up. Is there something that can be replaced besides the whole control panel?
1 Answer Hi Bonnie. The control panel is all one part with the ribbon cable assy. This part # is 6-920396. Thank you. Read More...
Adam P. July 12, 2011 for Model Number MDC4650aww3 The start button will not work. The hi-temp and the delay lights will come on and the buttons work. The sanitize light and button works intermittently, but none of the rest will come on and it will not start. I am wondering if it is just the control panel and how hard it is to replace.
1 Answer Hello Adam. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control panel 6-920396 is bad and will need to be replaced. You will need to disconnect the power to the unit. Then remove the screws securing the inner door panel. Remove the inner door panel and remove the cover off the control board. Remove the ribbon cable from the control board and remove the screws holding the control board housing in place. Next remove the screws holding the control panel in place. Reinstall with the new control panel in reverse order. Hope this helps. Read More...
