Leanne April 02, 2016 for Model Number KDRS505XSS03 one of the gas stove burner is making a high pitch sound. I have been advised it could be the appliance gas regulator? Could it need to be replaced. How do i check to see if regulator working properly? Is their any other possibilities of why it would be making that high hum sound?
1 Answer Leanne, If it is just one of the burners that is making the high pitch noise then it most likely would not be the regulator causing the issue. This would be more likely to be a valve that is faulty or a orifice that is clogged. It would be more likely the valve that is the issue. Read More...
John July 08, 2013 for Model Number kgct305bblo I changed the setting on my pressure regulator to LP. I connected the stove to a 20lb tank, when I opened the gas valve, there was a popping sound and gas started to escape from the regulator. Do I need to lower the gas pressure somehow? I will order a new regulator. Thanks John
1 Answer John, You would need to make sure that there is a regulator on the LP tank that will get the pressure down to 11 to 14 Water column inches before it gets to the range. If there is no regulator between then it will cause the regulator to blow. Read More...

Richard W. February 08, 2012 for Model Number GLT3614GQ1 I have purchase the conversion kit of orifices for the four burners for LP use. Do I also need to purchase the regulator? I have an old unit that does not have the regulator attached underneath; but only has pipe coming out. The diagram on your sight indicates the regulator should be used. Wouldn't the smaller orifices be enough to reduce the higher flow from bottled gas pressure? What should I do?
1 Answer Hello Richard! Unscrew the top cap on the pressure regulator and flip the device that is underneath the cap to convert the regulator to LP. Hope this helps, thanks! Read More...
