My broken part says: ASSM 8268848 lGD and under that is 8268851 lGD. Can you tell me how to get an exact replacement part? Thank you, Ann

Laurie September 17, 2017 for Model Number DU840SWKT0 I have an older Whirlpool dishwasher and am replacing the top rack, I am wondering if the original rollers that attach to the rack will still fit onto the new rack, and how do I get them off the old rack? There is not a slider on it like in the repair video, so that does not help me at all, it looks like it just snaps on, but I am afraid to try and snap it off without breaking it. I have a picture of it, but don't see a place to post a picture. Thank you.
1 Answer Laurie, If you pull out at the top of the axle and rotate out then once the top is loose you will twist the bottom out. Read More...
Shirley May 07, 2016 In replacing the roller and axle assembly, the stop on the front of the dishwasher seems to be a little different than the one on the video, and I can't seem to get it off. Is there a difference?
1 Answer Hello Shirley, The video is generic to give you a general idea of how the job is performed. This one is not the same as the video and will have to be pryed off with a small screwdriver. These unfortunately have to be figured out since there are no instructions on the part from the manufacturer. Read More...

Michele W March 25, 2012 for Model Number DU920PF how do you replace this part on the dishwasher rack. i couldn't get the rack rails to snap into the bottom of the part by the roller. is their a trick?
1 Answer Michelle, The trick is, you need to remove the rack from the rails, replace the roller/adjuster then reinstall the rack. You may need a small blade "pocket" screwdriver to remove the Track stop from the rail WP3379941 , press in on the little tab and push up on the cap to disengage the stop frpm the rail.
