  • Reduces incoming supply pressure and maintains proper manifold pressure to the appliance
  • Helps ensure uniform flame height and stable temperatures
  • Symptoms may include weak or fluctuating flames on multiple burners, delayed ignition, or oven not reaching set temperature
  • Set up for the correct gas type (natural/LP) during installation per your model's conversion procedure
What's included:
  • Includes: 1 gas pressure regulator
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and shut off gas; allow the appliance to cool before service
  • Observe gas-flow direction and regulator orientation; transfer any model-specific fittings from the original part if required
  • Use gas-rated thread sealant on threaded connections and leak-test all joints with an approved method after installation
  • Verify proper natural gas/LP configuration per your model instructions

Questions & Answers

For Whirlpool Gas Pressure Regulator (Range/Oven) (Part Number: OEM20621988)

1 Answer

Pat, yellow flames can often be caused by burner jets being clogged or air shutters needing to be adjusted (oven section related). It would be recommended that the burner in question is thoroughly cleaned to ensure no jets are clogged. If this is good, the orifice may need to be inspected for any debris that could be causing an improper gas flow.
