Mark May 08, 2019 for Model Number 110.20722990 I just messed up this seal trying to install in the pinion in the transmission. With a light oil and an 11/16" socket it was not going down fully. It was at the top so I gave a couple harder hits and I noticed the rubber on the top was damaged and the metal was showing through. I assume this might leak now so on the next one, any tips to get it to seat without damaging the rubber?
1 Answer Mark, The seal is used in two places it is used for the top of basket drive tube shaft and the pinion gear inside the gear case. Read More...
Mark November 19, 2015 for Model Number LA3600XTW0 Hello: I would like to replace the seal between the spin tube and the transmission shaft. A previous answer regarding this indicated that the old one had to be pressed out and the new one pressed in. Does this mean it has to be done in a machine shop?
1 Answer Mark, Yes this would mean that someone with a press would have to get it out and press it back in place. Read More...
