Clifford March 17, 2016 for Model Number WFW9451XW00 Researching a small leak on my Whirlpool Duet. I removed the drain pump clean out and found a small rusted jingle bell inside. There was also some rust built up in the clean out and some rust had even accumulated on the rubber seal. My question is, would rust on the seal be sufficient cause for a minor leak? I have since cleaned the rust thorough and I am watching for any additional leaks. By the way, no tears were found on my main door boot seal, which I had originally thought to be the culprit.
