Stephen August 23, 2018 for Model Number WGD8300SW2 The dryer will not stop running when the door is opened. My first thought was the door switch, but it is discontinued. Is there anything else that could be causing the drum to keep turning when the door is opened? Thanks.

When door switch is depressed light continues to say on. Could it be wiring harness or something is connected wrong when I put everything back together? I get the 3 beeps Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks.
1 Answer Dries1340, This issue would most likely be caused by a shorted wire or switch being wired up incorrectly. You will want to check the wiring first. Read More...
Lindsey September 09, 2014 When I try to start the dryer, it lets me enter in the cycle and shows the time, but when I press start it beeps 3x and won't run. The inside dome light does not come on but the door latches. Is this the door switch?

Kd January 19, 2013 for Model Number 9200Sq0 The dryer powers up but when push start it makes a "Click" sound and doesn't start. Also the door light button/switch inside the dryer does not click to turn the light off when pressed. It used to click and turn the light off if you were going to have the door open for a long time. Could this be the door switch?
1 Answer Hello KD, Yes, the light switch is bad if the light stays on when the switch is pushed. This will also cause the unit to not start because it thinks the door is open. Read More...
