Tyler April 23, 2020 for Model Number W5CE3024XB00 The left rear burner cycles on and off in 15 second intervals. 15 on, 2-3 off. Could this be caused by a limiter switch, and is this the one I need to repair this model? Video of problem can be seen here: https://imgur.com/a/oHeRk1R
1 Answer Tyler, The infinite switch would be the most likely cause for this issue and will be part number W10861720. Read More...
Johnny January 29, 2020 for Model Number W5CE3024XB00 My cooktop light stay on .The only way it cut of is at the circuit breaker. I was told the part that l needed is a Infinite control switch. Can you help me out please. Thank
1 Answer Johnny, the infinite switches would need to be tested individually by testing from L1 to P for continuity. With the breaker off, the infinite switches can be tested and if there is continuity at the terminals when the switch is off, that switch has failed. The right rear switch is part number WP74007840, left rear W10861720, left front WPW10326246, and right front WPW10244639. Read More...
Linda September 19, 2019 for Model Number KECC604BBL The power light on my cooktop will not go off. While cooking and lowering the heat on the 10" element, I heard a swich/pop. The element still works, but when any element is turned off the power light is still illuminated, unless I turn the cooktop off at the breaker box.
1 Answer Linda, more than likely the right front switch WPW10434447 has a fused contact from terminal P1 to S2. This can be tested by turning off the power and tested the two terminals for continuity with the switch in the off position. However, all of the switches should be tested to verify that it may not be another switch that may have had a week contact that fused. The right rear switch would be tested from L1 to P while the other switches would be tested the same as the right front switch. Read More...
