Mike, The unit will not drain as quick as it fills due to a pressure switch issue. You will want to check to make sure that the drain pipe is not pushed too far down into the standpipe which would most likely be caused by this issue.

Al, Check the drain hose and drain pipe first. they have to be at least 38 to 39 inches high from the floor level. It sounds like the drain line and drain hose are too low and the tub won't hold water after it reaches the height of the pipe.

If the only way to shut off the water is at the shut off for the water hoses, you will need to replace the water valve in the unit.

Dan, Have you checked for a bad extra rinse or lid switch ? Or loose wires at the same switches. Based on your post everything else is OK. A loose wire or slightly defective switch could be the issue. Thanks and Good Luck

Bruce, A quick easy way to check the water continues to flow, start the washer in a warm washafter a few seconds of fill, unplug the power cord at the wall. If the water continues to flow in, you have a faulty fill valve WP21001932 . If the water doesn't flow in you have a bad water level switch or hose WPY2201474 WP21001748. If you still have a drain issue after the fill valve or switch is replaced, then check the the drain hose and pump, for possible clogs or debris. Thanks and Good Luck
