Sharon W August 29, 2012 for Model Number TC407W The door to my Jenn-Air trash compactor does not open. I've been told there is a switch but fail to see where this switch is located on this model. Please advise me how to open the drawer and if there is a button or switch to press, please tell me where it is located EXACTLY. As I said ,I'm not seeing anything other then the front dial. 1 Answer Sharon, The most common issue for your complaint description is, something has overflowed the bin and wrapped around the power screw and jammed the motor. That leaves the ram in a partially engaged position and you can't open the door. There are several "hidden" switches that could be the cause, as well, but you will need to remove the compactor and remove the top panel to access most of them. Don June 04, 2011 for Model Number KUCC151JBL0 The micro switch on our compactor has only 2 terminals. Will this switch WP4387911 work, it shows as having three terminals?
1 Answer Hello Don. This is the only door switch listed for your model. While it is a little different than the original, it should be a functional equivalent. It is likely one of the three terminals would simply just not be used.
