Carla February 09, 2013 for Model Number LGR7646EQ0 I have a gas dryer model # LGR7646EQ0 The dryer has a little buzzing noise when running it heats up but after running for 10 to 15 minutes if shuts off. I have smelled a slight odor like something over heating... I have changed the thermal fuse, the high limit thermastat the cycling thermastat and the relay starter switch. It's still doing the same thing. What could it be?
1 Answer Hello Carla, You will want to check to make sure that there is nothing caught in the blower wheel. If there is something caught that could cause a dragging of the motor and can cause it is trip on overload. You will also want to check to make sure that the vent is clear. If this checks ok then you will need to replace the motor. Read More...
