Doug, It is most likely the timer WP8546685 / 8546685, based on the post information. The timer motor may have failed, or the drive gear may have "worn out" and is not driving the timer cam. The part is in stock and available at this time.

David, You will want to check the pressure hose located between the tub and the pressure switch for clogs where it attaches to the tub and check the air dome it attaches to. This would be the most likely cause for this issue.

Hello Gagnon. If you can stop the water from entering the machine by turning off the timer or unplugging the unit, you will need to look for a bad pressure hose or replace the pressure switch. If the only way to shut off the water is at the shut off for the water hoses, you will need to replace the water valve in the unit.

Hi Robert. Remove the power. Then loosen the 2- lower control panel screws and flip the panel assy. backwards. Remove the knob and front screws in the timer. Unhook the elect, conn. at the timer and replace in reverse assy. The timer is part # 285952. Thank you.
