Matt H September 26, 2023 for Model Number Kenmore series 500 dryer Everything seems to operate correctly except the heat turns off after a few minutes and only produces cold air. Timer does not shut off on select dry. Timed drying does turn off. Still only has heat for about 3 minutes before shutting down. Motor and everything else seems to run fine. Replaced what i was told was the hi limit thermostat and Thermal sensor and still same problem. Matt

1 Answer Hello Michael. Test for power to the timer motor. If there is power there, and the motor does not turn the timer, replace the timer WP3976577. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
