Hello Jason. You need to start the diagnostic with checking if the fans inside the freezer and at the back near the compressor are running. If the compressor is running. Pull off the front vent grill at the bottom and make sure the condenser coil is clean. If you didn't do that for years and you have pets, the coil would be completely blocked. Vacuum and brush it. If all checks as normal, remove the evaporator cover (again) and see how the evaporator coils are covering with the frost pattern. If there are only one or two coils are frosted, there is a sealed system problem $$$...Thank you.

JH. Most of these defrost timers are shipped in defrost. Simply wait or advance the timer to a run position.
