John, The timer would most likely be the issue if it will work for only one setting of speeds. The timer part number is WP3946471.

Scott, You're on the right track, If the washer will fill and drain, i's not likely the motor, lid switch or drain pump. It's most likely the timer WP3946471 has a faulty agitate contact. It could be the water level switch contacts WP3356464 but that's less likely.

Steve for Model Number 110.92582110

I replaced the timer because the washer would not drain or spin. It does drain now but the spin cycle is missing. Odd thing occurs though at the end of the drain cycle , if I open the lid and the unit quickly tries to spin then stops, then when the lid is closed it starts spinning. If I don't open the lid it just drains and never spins, but the timer keeps advancing to the next cycle till it hits an OFF point. Then we find the laundry wet, the tub drained but no spin. No sure where to look next. Any idea? Thanks

Hello Steve. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the clutch assembly 285785 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. This will cause the no spin you are having with the unit.

Steve, we take for granted that you mean the timer dial. Once you unscrew the timer knob, you should be able to slip the dial off of the white plastic portion of the timer shaft. You will need to be carefull, the timer dial is no longer available. You may want to take a cloth or wrag, slip it in the gap between the back of the dial and the control panel , twist the cloth together and use that as leverage to pull the dial off the timer shaft. Then you can remove the two timer mounting screws and diamount the timer.
