Bob May 24, 2020 for Model Number MDE8400AYW I replaced the timer on my electric dryer since it would not turn on when pulling the knob. The new timer though now starts immediately now does not operate as a timer. It starts but does not rotate through the cycle. The serial number of the dryer is s/n 12471994CC. When I pull the timer knob to turn on the dryer, I have to really pull at an upward angle and out instead of the normal - straight out. Sometimes more than one try is required for the dryer to turn on. Do you think the timer would be the issue? If so, what would be the correct Timer part number and do we need a harness?
