John B Chapel Hill , TN April 05, 2020 Appliance: Maytag Electric Dryer MDE6400AYW Timer had to be positioned "just right" for the dryer to start I went to the Appliance Parts Pros website and entered my Dryer model number. An illustrated parts listing allowed me to see where the timer was located. I read the online reviews on their website of timer failures and determined I needed a new timer. The serial number of my dryer is located on the dryer body and can be viewed once the dryer door is opened. The correct timer for my serial number was ordered and in less than 24 hours I received it. The video by Appliance Parts Pros showed how to complete the task. Very easy to install with a 15mm Torx screwdriver.
