Bill May 16, 2014 May tag dryer timer does not advance on any setting and will run for hours. Now it does not get hot on any setting. Could this be caused by the timer not working ? It is a gas dryer.
1 Answer Bill, The most likely cause for the timer to not rotate would be the timer motor failing and it sounds like the contacts are going bad. Read More...
Josie February 08, 2014 Dryer has power through door switch up to start button. Motor will not start and timer sounds different. Am I looking at replacing the timer?
1 Answer Josie, You will want to check the motor to see if the motor is getting power to it. If there is no power to the motor then you would want to check the thermal fuse on the blower housing. If this checks ok then the issue would most likely be the timer. If the thermal fuse is bad then replace and if the motor is getting power then the motor would be the issue. Read More...

Peter June 19, 2012 for Model Number sdg305daww Dryer stays on regardless of the timer setting. Is it a timer motor problem or a temperature sensor?
1 Answer Hello Peter. If there is power to the time motor, and the timer does not advance, you will need to replace the timer WPY2200920. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
